A Fantastic Alternative - Nikon Coolpix L110 Digital Camera Review

While the camera has built-in help functions, they simply aren't a substitute for the bound manual that should have been included. It has a non-intuitive 4-way "arrow pad" controller. I went to Greece over the summer, and I had a very hard time trying to figure out what setting to use. During the night time, if I had a dark picture, you would see "bubbles" all around and it would totally ruin your picture.

The video goes in and out of focus even in good daylight and keeping a constant distance from the objects being captured. As for the UI, it leaves much to be desired.

It does not have the zoom capabilities as some other cameras. It totally works as described and it really is as good as the commercials. I'm definitely going to take this camera snowboarding, boating, hiking, and everywhere else that is EXTREME!

I have only had this camera for a few days, but it is great! I bought it to replace my big, bulky still camera, as well as my video camera. At least Amazon let me return it! Bought a 6020 while on a cruise ship "it was the best they had".

Pretty disappointing when you're trying to get a group shot. The panoramic setting is fantastic, super easy to use, and - oddly enough - picks up small details even from very far away. Picture quality is great. Pictures look 100 times better on a computer screen rather than the small 2.7 inch screen. The software takes time too long to initiate. So it's almost impossible to take a shot of an important moment we face suddenly. This float strap works great if you are afraid of dropping the waterproof camera but it sinking. It keeps the camera afloat and is bright and easy to see. After punishing this poor little camera all summer, I've got to say I am deeply impressed with it. The panorama option is also a phenomenal addition - I have some amazing sunset shots that look seamless thanks to the built in sensor (automatically lines up and takes the next 2 shots for you- all you have to do is move the camera and it does the rest).

Customer service has been less than helpful and I still haven't received a new camera over two months later. The 14MP produces sharp images, auto focus finds the right subject, waterproof (used it in fresh & salt water), movies work great (very minimal wind noise).

I have a 14GB-Class-10 memory card installed. Class-10 is the fastest card there is. I took it to the beach multiple times, went snorkeling for a couple of hours, and use it for everyday shots. The pictures are crystal clear.
